Sewer Backup

Water loss can be devastating and sewer backups are no exception. Not only is there damage from the water itself but we have to take precautions to contain bio-hazardous materials from cross contaminating the rest of the home or office. We accomplish this while ensuring the safety of both the occupants and our employees.

Common Sources of Water Loss Damage

We don't know what the percentage is but this is most likely  the number one source of water damage. The fresh water supply line, when it fails literally hundreds of gallons of water will hit the floor. If the failure takes place upstairs the devastation can be even worse.

Pro-Tip Place a water detection monitor beside each of these sources in your home. It can detect as little as 1/16th of an inch of water. They are cheap, single use detectors are inexpensive  and can save you hundreds if not thousands in repairs. Your home security monitoring system may offer water leak detection services.

Water Damage from a dishwasher leak

A small leak can hide and spread out. Water will follow the path of least resistance and cause damage where ever it lays for to long. Especially porous materials like wood and Sheetrock will hold water and begin the formation of mold in as little as 48 -72 hrs.

Water Damage

Do you have areas of your home that you do not visit often? You may want to consider a moisture alarm. Some are offered by your alarm company and added to the monthly monitoring service. Others are one time use and measure 1/16 of an inch of water, limiting the damage you sustain before you are aware of the issue. Here in this picture the home owner doesn't go down in the basement very often. A water supply line developed a leak and accumulated more than four inches of water in all of the basement. This area is the primarily a mechanical room but is next to a finished guest room that was also damaged.  If your basement is flooded unexpectedly it's best to call us direct at 336-946-1131

Water Damage in progress

Even if you are quick enough to get up the water that you can see, the water you don't see and can't reach are affecting your floors also. If left untreated the floors will begin to warp and "cup". If left untreated for an extended period of time mold and rot will develop causing more damage and costing significantly more to mitigate and repair.
